New York Police Department officer Stacey Staniland has quit her job after a wild eight months or so of trouble. The NYPD officer was arrested three times and she’s resigned now. The 29-year-old is facing multiple charges after the three arrests, and now she’ll be looking for a new job as well.

The New York Daily News shares the details on the resignation of the NYPD officer arrested three times in just a matter of months. Stacey Staniland was arrested once for burglary and twice for drug possession since December 2014. She was suspended after each incident, but it wasn’t until now that she left the job entirely.

The most recent incident took place on July 1 when Staniland crashed her motorcycle and officers found her with a controlled substance and a hypodermic needle. As was previously reported by the Inquisitr, this last incident happened when Staniland crashed into two vehicles that were at a stoplight in Staten Island. Reports indicate that she had been sniffing glue shortly before the crash as well.

When Staniland was approached by officers after the accident, authorities saw the paraphernalia in her purse as she reached for her identification. In addition to clonazepam, which she didn’t have a prescription for, Staniland also had a needle, a syringe, and a silver spoon, and there was drug residue in the purse. In addition, Staniland’s motorcycle didn’t have plates and was unregistered.

The former NYPD officer’s first arrest came when she allegedly stole jewelry from the home of her boyfriend’s mother last December. SI Live shared that Stacey pawned the items at a local pawn shop, and she was found to have taken other jewelry items to the same shop earlier in 2014. She was charged with second- and third-degree felony burglary charges for the incident, and she’s also facing possession of stolen property and petit larceny misdemeanor charges in the case.

In May, Staniland was arrested again, this time on drug charges in Brooklyn. An Internal Affairs Bureau investigation was initiated on her at this point, and this incident led to charges of criminal possession of a controlled substance and possession of a hypodermic instrument, noted SI Live.

Staniland, who seemingly dubbed herself “Little Miss Dangerous,” reportedly quit her job the day after this most recent arrest, shares the New York Post. It seems that Staniland’s career is hitting a definite rough patch now that the NYPD officer arrested three times has resigned, and she now has three suspensions on her work record and multiple charges ahead of her to wade through.

Two adults were killed in front of five kids during a home invasion in Florida on Thursday, July 9.

The incident occurred early Thursday morning after a group of four or five masked intruders entered the home and shot the two adults to death. The children, thankfully, were left unharmed.

The children, ages 1 to 11, were with their family members, detectives, and child protective services as of 8:40 a.m., Fox News reports. A Bradenton Police information officer said the children would be released to go home with their family members after they had completed their interviews with the detectives.

The murders took place at the home at the 3900 block of Southern Parkway West, near Robert Prine Elementary School. The Bradenton police arrived at the crime scene at approximately 4 a.m. after an alarm was triggered. They noticed the glass on the front door was shattered. Shortly after, they found the two adult’s bodies.

The victims, 29-year-old Kantral Brooks and Ester Deneus, were parents of the children whose identities have not been released. Shemeka Waters, Brooks’ sister, said the family had just moved into the home around six months ago, and she said her brother’s kids were his life.

“They don’t know what’s going on. They are still in shock,” Waters said of the kids, according to My Fox Tampa Bay.

“We got to this call several minutes after it came out. Officers patrol this area frequently. This area is not known for violent crimes,” said Lt. James Racky with the Bradenton Police Department.

Police revealed that they had received “several calls” to come to the Parkway home. While they would not elaborate on the nature of the calls, they did confirm that they were “non-violent and not drug-related.”

As of Thursday, the police were still at the home trying to find clues that would lead them to the intruders. They currently do not have anyone in custody or any suspects. However, a surveillance video of the intrusion was released that showed three masked men throwing a brick through the front door, NBC affiliate News Channel 8 reported. They are then seen entering the home carrying weapons.

The police are hopeful that they will catch the men who murdered the two adults in front of their five kids.

“Word of mouth will come around,” the Bradenton Police Department said. “Whoever came to this house and did this act today, they will be talking about it and somebody knows about it and the family”

Jared Fogle’s public persona seems to be falling deeper and deeper into an Orwellian memory hole since the shocking news of an FBI raid on his home earlier this week. People Magazine indicates that Fogle’s Zionsville, Indiana, neighbors haven’t even caught so much as a glimpse of Jared since the end of the 11-hour police operation at Fogle’s residence on Tuesday.

“We’re all just trying to be patient and let them do a full investigation, and hopefully he comes out not guilty,” one of Fogle’s neighbors told People.

But as Jared keeps things on the down-low, public scrutiny is now focusing upon his relationship with Russell Taylor, a business associate who is at the very heart of Fogle’s woes. As previously reported by Inquisitr, federal agents swarmed the pseudo-celebrity’s home on Tuesday morning, following up on allegations that Taylor produced and possessed child pornography while he worked as head of Fogle’s nonprofit organization, The Jared Foundation. The Daily Beast reports that Fogle was very close with Russell Taylor prior to their work together on the project.

“They were good friends before [Taylor] started working for him,” a source told The Daily Beast. “Jared basically created a position for him to help raise funds [for Fogle’s nonprofit agency] and do the administrative stuff Jared couldn’t do. He had experience with nonprofits.”

While their longstanding friendship isn’t exactly a bombshell, some of the recent history between the two raises far more questions, especially when juxtaposed with prior statements by Fogle himself. A report by AOL notes that Fogle released a statement publicly severing ties with Russell Taylor following Taylor’s initial arrest on child porn charges back in April. However, WISH TV notes that Fogle was personally involved in bailing Taylor out of jail on the first batch of state charges related to the aforementioned allegations, citing information provided by someone in Taylor’s family. Russell Taylor has since ben re-arrested on federal charges and remains in custody. His attorney has denied to comment on the relationship between Fogle and Taylor.

Fallout from the raid on Jared’s home has been swift and certain, as Subway quickly suspended their longtime relationship with Fogle, expunging his name and image from their website. The end of their business relationship will undoubtedly cost him thousands upon thousands in income while ending what seems to have been a steady demand for Fogle’s presence as a motivational speaker and author. Perhaps adding insult to injury, Jared Fogle’s cameo in the forthcoming movie Sharknado 3 was also edited out by the film’s producers.

Jared Fogle is under investigation by the FBI for child pornography, and now it has been revealed that a Florida woman wore a wire while speaking to the Subway spokesman to aid in the investigation.

According to Fox 59, federal authorities have confirmed that the woman wearing the wire provided them with key information that led to the raid of Fogle’s home earlier this week. While Fogle has not been arrested or charged with any crime, it is believed that the raid was a part on an ongoing child pornography investigation.

State and federal authorities raided Fogle’s Zionsville home on Tuesday, July 7, and spent approximately 11 hours searching the property. They then removed several computers, DVDs, and other electronic equipment. Fogle’s personal cell phone was also confiscated by the police.

The woman, whose identity is being kept concealed, played a vital role in obtaining information for the authorities. While speaking to Fogle, she said he made “surprising and inappropriate” remarks about the subject of child pornography. The comments were so alarming that they led her to contact the FBI.

“He said something to me when we were off camera and that really stuck with me. I thought to myself, ‘Did he really say that to me?'” she told WWSB.

“The subject matter is similar to what the FBI found when they raided his home. It goes deeper than that,” said the woman.

While the woman would not reveal any further details regarding their conversation, she said the FBI had her wear a wire to record their phone conversations after she notified them of their previous conversation.

“It was the right thing to do, and I was able to do it and I have fortitude to do it. That’s the main reason I did this,” she said.

The raid of Jared Fogle’s home comes two months after the arrest of Russel Taylor, the former director of Fogle’s Jared Foundation. Taylor was arrested and accused of possessing and producing child pornography.

Since Tuesday’s raid, Subway has made the decision to suspend their partnership with their longtime spokesman. On Wednesday, July 8, Fogle’s attorney, Ron Elberger issued a statement saying his client was completely cooperating with the police.

“Jared has been cooperating, and continues to cooperate, with law enforcement in their investigation of unspecified charges and looks forward to its conclusion. He has not been detained, arrested or charged with any crime or offense.”

Known for leaving smiley faces on his letters, this serial killer’s victims were spread out all over the U.S., from Nebraska, Washington, and California to Florida, Wyoming, and Oregon. He was sentenced to life in prison. Since that time, “Happy Face Killer” Keith Jesperson not only left a trail of dead bodies, he also left his own daughter to somehow come to terms and live with the stigma of what he has done. This latest ABC 20/20 episode will show how Michelle Moore has coped.

It’s a perspective that many find interesting. Typically, true-crime documentaries go in-depth about a particular serial killer or crime, but few documentaries address what the killer’s family has to go through upon learning that a husband — or a father — is a vicious murderer.

Michelle G. Moore has discussed her upbringing with Keith Hunter Jesperson in great detail in her book Shattered Silence. Many of Jesperson’s victims, however, have not been happy about reopening old wounds. Some say her book is about the happy life that she experienced with her serial killing father but fails to consider the victim’s families.

Michelle’s story is about more than detailing her happy childhood. It is about the lack of knowing what to do when you find out something so devastating. About this, Michelle makes the following comment.

“There’s no books like what to do if your dad is a serial killer. There’s no pamphlets, no support groups, and the best answer that I could find for myself was just little by little.”

She also questioned whether she deserved to be happy in her own life knowing what her father has done to destroy the lives of others.

Michelle Moore states, according to ABC News, “Being the daughter of a serial killer puts everything into question, ‘Am I worthy? Do I have a right to exist?’ When he took so much away from other people. If I’m happy is that a slap in the face to the victim’s families? I don’t want it to be.”

Janepsy Carballo and the Miami, Florida, shootings of her husband and 1-year old son will be profiled on the next Dateline NBC. Tonight’s Dateline episode entitled Miami Heat will focus on the tragic events that led up to the fatal shooting of Orlando Mesa and 18-month old Noah ‘Noa’ Mesa, who survived the brutal attack. The crime episode will also show how the murder of another man named Ilan Nissim is connected to this case.

Backing up a bit, the case of Janepsy Mesa Carballo was in the news in 2008. That’s when police say Orlando Mesa and his son, Noah, took a Sunday stroll just outside their home but were later gunned down by an unknown killer. A surveillance video captures the final moments of Orlando Mesa’s life. Mesa was an entrepreneur who worked as a mechanic and drug dealer, according to court records. It is believed that the drug connection is what led to the death of Mesa. The killer was never captured.

After Orlando Mesa’s murder, Janepsy Carballo had a hard time adjusting to life. She was completely devastated that the love of her life was dead, and her baby boy had been seriously injured. Before Orlando Mesa’s death, the police had seized some big bags of marijuana in his car. It seemed that in the last few weeks leading up to the murder, their lives had started on a downward spiral. But Janepsy never could have imagined the shocking turn that her own life would take.

Prosecutors say that just a month after her husband was murdered, and her baby boy was shot in the arm and leg, Janepsy Carballo decided to get revenge by killing the man she believed shot them. That man was Ilan Nissim, Orlando Mesa’s former business partner and a known drug dealer in the area. According to court records, Janepsy Mesa Carballo lured Nissim to her house and shot him in the back 6 times.

The defense said that it wasn’t a case of cold blooded murder but an act of self-defense, stating that Ilan Nissim arrived at Janepsy Mesa’s home unexpectedly and then tore open her blouse. Janepsy shot Nissim to death because she was afraid. She describes the killing in her own words, according to the Daily Mail.

“He turns with his left hand towards his right, and at that moment, I just started shooting, and shooting.(0 I just started shooting like there was no tomorrow… In my mind, he was reaching for a gun that I had seen with him. The shots were so loud, it freaked me out. In my head I was already feeling him shooting at me.”

Ballistics experts were able to convince the jury that the killing was not an act of self-defense, and it appeared that Ilam Nissim had begged for his life. Janepsy Carballo was found guilty in 2014.

Ilan Nissim: Prosecutors say he was not the man who killed her husband and did not fit the description of the suspected killers. Neighbors say the men were black with dreadlocks. Janepsy believes that Nissim had something to do with it.

Members of the public believe that Janepsy Carballo should not have been convicted of murder. And that as the only surviving parent, she should have been allowed to raise her child. While some realize that taking another human’s life is wrong, some feel that Carballo shot a known drug dealer and view his death as cleaning up the streets. Many also believe that losing a husband and almost losing her baby was enough reason to kill Nissim for showing up at her home.

Others are adamant that revenge by killing is never the answer. Plus, prosecutors say that Janepsy shot and killed the wrong man, stating that Ilan Nissim was not the killer and looked nothing like the people in the surveillance video. Farid Fata, the doctor who was dubbed the “cancer doctor” after lying to many patients about their health, sobbed at his sentencing this week. After many victims shared their experiences in court, the judge handed down Fata’s sentence, and he will be behind bars for quite some time.

Newsweek shares that “cancer doctor” Farid Fata was sentenced to 45 years in a federal prison. He pleaded guilty last September to more than a dozen counts including health care fraud, conspiring to pay and receive kickbacks and money laundering. His medical license has been revoked and he has been in jail since his plea.

The case against Dr. Farid Fata involved $34.7 million in billings to insurers and patients, and the former doctor admitted that $17.6 million in work that was paid had not been necessary. The victims involved were typically fraudulently diagnosed with cancer and put through cancer treatments in order to bring in millions of dollars for the doctor.

During the court sessions for the sentencing, 22 victims spoke about how they were put through chemotherapy when they never had cancer, or chemo that was far too strong for what they could handle or needed. One patient spoke about being diagnosed with the wrong kind of cancer. Several families spoke on behalf of their relatives who had died as a result of Fata’s crimes.

Reports indicate that Fata’s fraud began in 2009 and was woven through multiple medical businesses of his. CBS News reports that more than 500 patients were put through unnecessary treatments throughout the former doctor’s fraud. Farid Fata was arrested just days after one of his practice’s oncologists, Dr. Soe Maunglay, read the chart of patient Monica Flagg in 2013 and reported his suspicions and findings to a superior.

Prosecutors had asked for the 175-year maximum allowed for the charges involved, and the defense had pushed for a 25-year sentence. Fata’s attorney had argued that a longer sentence would likely lead to his client’s death due to his issues with hypertension and diabetes. Fata reportedly cried as he stood next to his lawyer during the sentencing proceedings.

Though a couple of former patients did ask the judge for leniency for Fata, most of the families who spoke expressed heartbreak and stories of permanent changes to their lives as a result of the former doctor’s scheme. Yahoo! Health notes that Farid Fata’s doctoring fraud led to at least 2,000 unnecessary chemotherapy treatments for those pulled into his scheme. While Fata has been sentenced to prison now, his restitution hearing still lies ahead and he’s already agreed to return $17.6 million he had received.

Jared Fogle’s wire recordings have provided FBI investigators with key information, and a friend of the Subway spokesman claims that Fogle told her that “middle school girls are hot.” He also spoke about his attraction to underage girls on several occasions, the Daily Mail reports.

As reported by multiple news outlets, several police officers and FBI agents raided Jared Fogle’s home on Tuesday to investigate possible child pornography charges. Federal agents began searching Fogle’s residence, located in the town of Zionsville, Indiana, around 6 a.m. Tuesday morning. Authorities confiscated several items, including computers, DVDs, and Fogle’s cell phone. The evidence was analyzed in a mobile unit installed near the entrance of the residence.

According to People magazine, the raid on the home of the famous voice of the Subway fast-food chain came after the arrest of the former general manager of the Jared Foundation, Russell Taylor, for child pornography allegations. Fogle was questioned by FBI agents but was not arrested. His wife and children left the home shortly after the arrival of federal agents.

“They weren’t chased out,” his attorney, Ron Elberger, told the publication. “The officers were quite nice. They were professional and courteous.”

As of the time of this report, Fogle, who has “been cooperating with law enforcement and its investigation,” has not been arrested or charged with any crime or offense. However, Subway has suspended its relationship with Fogle until further notice.

Jared Fogle’s wire recordings are currently under examination by authorities, and a Florida woman reportedly provided FBI agents with vital information that ultimately led to the raid on his home. According to ABC 7, the woman, who chose to remain anonymous, claims she often spoke with Fogle.

The relationship began 10 years ago, and during their time together, the woman says Fogle made inappropriate comments on several occasions.

“He said something to me when we were off camera and that really stuck with me. I thought to myself, ‘did he really say that to me?'”

FOX 59 says that federal authorities have confirmed to them that the woman did, in fact, wear a wire to assist in the investigation, and the listening device was also used to record phone conversations between the two.

Although there is not much information as to what is said on the wire recordings, the woman claims “they weren’t jokes and they were very serious.” She says Fogle’s remarks were so alarming that she decided to contact the FBI, which eventually led to her wearing a wire.

Dr. Farid Fata, the Michigan cancer doctor who admitted to giving cancer treatments to patients who were cancer-free, was sentenced on Friday. Although many trial watchers expected the judge to hand down a life sentence, Fata was instead given 45 years in a low-security prison.

Although he did not get life for his wrong-doings, there are conflicting reports as to how long he will be required to stay behind bars. According to CNN, Fata is expected to serve at least 34 out of his 45 year sentence in jail, however the Detroit News states that he is ineligible for parole and will be required to serve out his entire sentence.

Dr. Farid Fata, 50, pleaded guilty on multiple counts of Medicare fraud, two counts of money laundering, and one count of conspiracy to pay or receive kickbacks. ABC News reports that before the judge read the sentence, Fata apologized to his patients, stating that he failed those who went to him “seeking compassion and care.”

“I have violated the Hippocratic oath and violated the trust of my patients. I do not know how I can heal the wound. I do not know how to express the sorrow and the shame.”

Sue Lane, whose husband, Ronnie, died of lung cancer five years ago after being treated by Fata, told the Detroit News that the judge “should have put him away for life.” Lane was one of many victims and family members who attended the sentencing on Friday who hoped the doctor would live out his natural life behind bars.

During his time as a practicing doctor, Fata owned Fata Michigan Hematology Oncology, with at least six offices located throughout Detroit. Newsweek reports that his medical practice served over 16,000 patients since 2005, and an alarming number of his patients were either harmed or died from getting chemotherapy drugs they did not need.

Although Fata is now in prison, his time in court is not over. The doctor forfeited $17.6 million that he fraudulently collected from both Medicare and private insurance companies will be put in a fund for patients. A restitution hearing is expected to take place in the near future, with money from the fund distributed to patients who suffered at the hands of the Michigan doctor.

The once-prominent Michigan cancer doctor is expected to serve his sentence at a low-security prison, possibly in the very state he duped patients into thinking they had cancer when, in fact, they were cancer-free.

Matthew Graham is still at large, prompting a California manhunt for the father of a six-month-old baby.

The authorities have issued a warrant for Graham, who is the father of a baby who has been missing for the past two weeks. According to the Shasta County Sheriffs Department, Matthew is believed to be armed and attempting to evade arrest, News10 ABC reports.

Matthew apparently skipped a meeting with his probation officer and stole his mother’s gun before leaving town. It is believed that he chose to run after he found out about a new lead in the investigation into the whereabouts of his daughter, Ember Graham.

On July 2, Graham reported that his daughter, Ember, had been abducted from her crib. However, authorities quickly realized that his story did not add up as he continued to give inconsistent statements. On the night before Ember disappeared, Matthew was seen driving around with her in the car, trying to get her to sleep. When questioned about their drive, Matthew apparently lied about how long he had been driving and then refused to take a lie detector test, according to the New York Daily News.

“At this time we have not found any credible evidence supporting Matthew Graham’s account that Ember was abducted by a stranger or by anyone else,” the sheriff’s department said in a statement last week.

On Friday, Matthew’s mother was questioned about a pacifier that was found in a remote area near Ono, California, that may have belonged to Ember. When Graham heard that his mother had been questioned, the police said he took off with his mother’s .40-caliber semi-automatic pistol, a cellphone, and cash.

Currently, there are 70 searchers and canine teams working to scour the area of Ono, hoping to find any sign or clues into Ember’s whereabouts.

Aussie artist Jodi Magi did something on social media that’s par for the course in most countries. She snapped a photo of an able-bodied neighbor hogging two handicapped parking spaces outside her Abu Dhabi apartment and posted it to Facebook.

Someone complained about the post, which blacked out the license plate and didn’t name the car’s owner, but now Magi is in jail and awaiting deportation from the United Arab Emirates. And Jodi claims the Australian Embassy has done little to help her, the Sydney Morning Herald reported.

It isn’t clear what exactly she said on Facebook, besides post the shaming photo, or who called authorities to complain about it in June. But that simple act is considered a crime in UAE under its Cyber Crime Law, News.com.au added. Under that law, Magi is in jail facing a charge of “writing bad words on social media.”

Jodi was found guilty of the charge in an Abu Dhabi court two weeks ago, where she said she was forced to sign documents written in Arabic without translation, ABC reported. Afterward, she agreed to pay a fine and leave Abu Dhabi for her native Perth, but the court told her to stay put — if she didn’t show up for her next appearance, they’d throw her in jail.

When she obeyed and headed back to court Monday, she was thrown in jail anyway.

“I have zero idea [what I have done wrong]. I used the internet. I’m putting my life in the hands of chaos. I’m terrified. No-one is talking to me. No-one is telling me what is going on … “They were about to put me in male lock-up and then they turned me away and no one knows what to do with me. I’m pretty scared.”

No one knows how long she will remain incarcerated in Abu Dhabi, but Embassy officials assert that she’ll be deported soon.

It’s fairly common for non-Arabic detainees to be compelled to sign documents in a foreign language, “leading to convictions on charges they don’t understand and may not have realized they were admitting guilt to,” an Amnesty International spokeswoman said.

More to the point, UAE isn’t the best place in the world to be opinionated on social media, and Abu Dhabi is especially repressive, Human Rights Watch researcher Nicholas McGeehan told the Herald.

“You now have a cyber-crime decree, which acts in conjunction with strong defamation laws, where basically anyone who says anything online, makes any comment online about another person, could fall foul of those laws if someone complains about them, particularly if someone has any connection to the authorities.”

Meanwhile, Jodi Magi is throwing accusations at her Embassy, whom she has accused of ignoring her case and leaving her vulnerable to authorities. Foreign Minister Julie Bishop has vehemently denied that, assuring that authorities provided “all appropriate consular assistance” to Jodi and her husband.

Magi said that “consular assistance” has amounted to advice that she get a lawyer.

“I’m not sure if it was me being naive. I was under the impression that embassies were in countries to help their citizens in times of difficulty. But from my experience it seems that their job here seems to be to generate business and they have no interest in anything other than that.”

A US Airways stabbing in Arizona has left one person dead. The incident happened at the US Airways Jeffrey D. McClelland Flight Center and reportedly involved two technicians at the property near Sky Harbor International Airport.

ABC 15 shares that the US Airways stabbing involved two flight simulator technicians who were employed at the flight center. The two got into a fight of some sort, although few details have been released about the incident so far. The facility is a training center for US Airways employees, and it is just west of the Phoenix airport.

According to 12 News, the fight between the technicians happened early Wednesday. One technician stabbed the other with something sharp, and the victim was taken to the hospital. The victim has since died, and the alleged attacker has been detained by the police. Authorities indicate that the suspect has been cooperating.

Reports indicate that airport operations were not affected by the US Airways stabbing. Authorities at this point are not releasing any details regarding the argument or the names of either party involved. In addition, there have been no charges filed yet, and there is no word about whether any might be coming or when.

It seems that the US Airways stabbing happened in a hallway near the flight simulator area, details USA Today. The flight simulator area is not connected to the passenger terminals, and the facility is located near Buckeye Road and 19th Street in Phoenix.

Though details remain sketchy at this point, CBS5AZ adds that the US Airways stabbing happened around 4 a.m. Wednesday morning. The two co-workers started arguing, and things became physical. The weapon used has not yet been identified. Apparently, there were several witnesses to what police describe as an isolated incident.

Despite the violent incident, the training facility is said to remain open as the investigation continues, although the area where the stabbing occurred has been cordoned off. The victim was reportedly in critical condition upon arriving at the hospital, but he was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The airline has made its fair share of headlines over the years with an extremely unfortunate social media snafu making waves earlier this year. While the previous incident garnered some chuckles in the midst of the embarrassment caused for the airline, this training facility incident clearly generates an entirely different type of buzz. The investigation into the US Airways stabbing continues, and authorities surely will be releasing additional details in the hours ahead.

Ariana Kelly, state lawmaker from Bethesda, Maryland, was arrested and charged with indecent exposure after exposing her breasts. She was also charged with trespassing.

The charging document said Delegate Ariana B. Kelly (D-Montgomery) was dropping off her children at her ex-husband’s house, in the 5300 block of Alta Vista Road in Bethesda, when she became upset that his fiancée was inside the residence.

A report by The Washington Post said Kelly was asked to leave numerous times; however she continued ringing the doorbell and banging on the door.

Her husband, Barak Sanford, captured video of Kelly’s rant on his cellphone.

Barak told police he used a cell phone to record Kelly’s outburst of lifting up her shirt and exposing herself.

The following is an excerpt taken from the police report.

“Sanford played a cellphone video for police that showed Kelly ringing the doorbell ‘numerous times,’ exposing her breasts in the direction of Sanford’s cellphone camera and then ‘with one breast in each hand [shaking] them up and down.'”

The police officers who were called to the scene told Ariana she could be arrested for indecent exposure. They also asked her to leave the premise.

Ariana was so upset she extended her hands towards the officers and offered this response.

“Arrest me then.”

At that point, the police did exactly what she said—they arrested her.

Ariana Kelly declined to comment to NBC News 4; however, her attorney, Luiz Simmons, said Ariana would be “aggressively disputing” the charges.

Ariana B. Kelly was elected to the House of Delegates in 2010. Last year, she was reelected for another term.

Kelly is a member of the Health and Government Operations Committee. She has been active in health issues and women’s rights. She is also a member of a legislative task force that studies maternal mental health issues.

Ariana sponsored a bill permitting midwives to assist at home births. The bill was passed by the General Assembly in the spring.

Earlier this year, Ariana Kelly was said to be considering a run for the 8th Congressional District seat being vacated by Rep. Chris Van Hollen (D-Md.) who is running for a seat in the U.S. Senate.

Ariana B. Kelly represents Montgomery County as the Delegate for District 16. The 39-year-old grew up in Bethesda.

Ariana Kelly and her ex-husband, Barak Sanford, were divorced in November 2014, according to court records.

The trial for Ariana Kelly is set for Aug. 13, in Rockville.

Bill Clinton‘s days in politics may be over, but the former president is making headlines by admitting that a crime law he championed in the 1990s has actually made things worse for U.S. prisons.

Clinton made his remarks during an NAACP convention in Philadelphia. CNN reports that Clinton said he wanted to admit the failure of the law.

During the speech, Clinton said a decade of “roaring” crime had resulted in expanding gang violence and the deaths of innocent people caught in the crossfire. To combat the problem, Congress approved an omnibus crime bill that Clinton signed into law in 1994.

“In that bill, there were longer sentences. And most of these people are in prison under state law, but the federal law set a trend,” Clinton said. “And that was overdone. We were wrong about that. That percentage of it, we were wrong about.”

Politico reports that Clinton said there were some positives that came from the law. Clinton noted increases in the number of police on patrol and additional programs for young people.

“We put 100,000 more police on the streets so they could be tighter tied to the community, and we passed the Brady Bill and the Assault Weapons Ban which had an ammunition on the clip, as I remember, of about 10 bullets,” Clinton said. “And we passed funds to give people something to say yes to in the after-school hours not just to say no to.”

Clinton said the bill did reduce crime, but sentenced too many people who were only “minor actors” to prison terms that were too long.

According to CNN, Clinton’s comments come at a time when power players within the Democratic Party are making criminal justice reform a talking point. Both President Barrack Obama and presidential candidate Hillary Clinton have spoken about the issue recently.

At the same convention where Clinton spoke, President Obama appeared the day before and outlined his own plan to make changes to the system that has resulted in the mass incarceration of so many Americans.

“Mass incarceration makes our country worse off and we need to do something about it,” Obama said.

Clinton’s wife, Democratic presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton, has made crime reform one of the central issues of her campaign.

“Keeping them behind bars does little to reduce crime, but it does a lot to tear apart families,” Hillary Clinton said during a campaign stop in New York earlier this year.

CNN also notes that this week wasn’t the first time Bill Clinton has expressed regret about the 1994 crime bill. In an interview with the network earlier this year, Clinton went on record as saying the bill “cast too wide a net” when determining who should be incarcerated.

“And we wound up… putting so many people in prison that there wasn’t enough money left to educate them, train them for new jobs and increase the chances when they came out so they could live productive lives,” Clinton said.

Police found human body parts wrapped in plastic bags in downtown New Haven, Connecticut. According to police, late Wednesday morning, two human legs were found along a fence in thick foliage on Court Street, near the State Street Railroad Station.

Police said that a few hours after the first discovery, they found three severed human limbs near the train tracks. At that point, police brought in cadaver dogs to assist in their search efforts.

New Haven Police Officer David Hartman told WFSB a “rotting smell” caused police to make another discovery around 7 p.m.

Police found a human arm in a plastic bag on a ledge below the Chapel Street Bridge, near Union Avenue. On Thursday, police said there were actually two arms found in that plastic bag.

Officer Hartman commented about the chilling discovery of the human body parts.

“Detectives from our forensic unit opened the bag and found what appears to be a human arm, at least one human arm.”

Michael Fumiatti, a worker in downtown New Haven, explains his reaction to the smell of decomposing human body parts.

“A couple of days ago, probably Monday, I thought I smelled something a little odd, like a dead animal. I never gave it a second thought.”

Police Officer Hartman said the body parts are so decomposed they cannot determine the race and gender of the person. Officials added the legs were badly decomposed, making it even more difficult to identify them.

Investigators said they believe it’s not likely the limbs were dismembered at the location they were found. They suspect the body parts were dumped there.

Officer Hartman adds his reaction to New Haven police discovering the human body parts.

“We have bizarre cases from time to time, but I can’t remember any case where we’ve found body parts, certainly not in recent memory. It would be incredibly coincidental if they were separate cases, and also I’d say incredibly disturbing if they were separate cases.”

People who work and live in downtown New Haven said the unnerving discovery makes their skin crawl.

New Haven resident Darlene Galberth shared her concern about the frightening find.

“I think it’s totally insane. It’s crazy. Legs? This city is going down under.”

Chief Medical Examiner’s office officials said they are working to identify the body parts. Police will continue going over missing persons reports. However, they add that they are reaching out to other departments for support.

Dr. Henry C. Lee, a world-renowned forensic scientist, best known for his work on the O.J. Simpson case, said cases like this involve teamwork.

“I’ve been in this forensic field and police field for more than 56 years, investigate 300 to 400 dismembering cases,” Dr. Lee said.

Dr. Lee said forensic scientists are working on determining the age, race, and gender, along with examining the plastic bag where the arms were. The forensic team will closely examine the socks that were still on the legs they found in order to get a fiber of hair or DNA to help identify the victim or suspect.

Dr. Lee said that once they find three pieces of the same profile, they can put it in a national DNA bank, then try to search missing persons files and attempt to search criminal record files, as well.

Police said an unidentified man approached a police officer about the discovery and brought the officer to the area where the human body parts were found.

Police Find Human Body Parts Wrapped In Plastic Bags [Video] is an article from: The Inquisitr News

Police brutality allegations were prompted when a police officer slammed a teen’s face onto a hospital floor. The young woman suffered significant injuries, including trauma to the head, face, jaw, and teeth. She also sustained concussion, migraine headaches, cognitive and memory function problems, closed head injuries, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD.)

The allegation of police brutality involves Colorado Springs Police Officer Tyler Walker and 18-year-old Alexis Akers.

According to a report by Colorado Springs Independent, Officer Walker and Alexis crossed paths when officers were dispatched to a disturbance involving a gun at Acker’s apartment on the night of Nov. 21, 2013.

Police officers found no probable cause, but they did find Alexis Acker intoxicated and her boyfriend, 19-year-old Tyrin Tanks.

According to Officer Walker’s report, Acker was “intoxicated and verbally uncooperative with police,” and became “physically combative” when officers arrested Tanks who had an outstanding warrant.

Acker allegedly kicked at police officers, until they pinned her down on a sofa. They arrested Acker on multiple charges, including assault on a police officer and resisting arrest. Police note that Alexis continued to resist while she was being walked to a police cruiser.

Police Officer Walker was 29 years old, 6-foot-3, and about 210 pounds at that time. In his report, Walker says he “easily” got physical control of Acker, noting that she was 5-foot-4 height and weighed about 110 pounds.

Officer Walker said in his report that he drove Acker to Memorial Hospital to get a medical clearance before taking her to jail “due to her intoxication level and combative nature.”

The police officer wrote in his report what happened as he drove Acker to the hospital.

“[Acker] remained verbally aggressive, continually yelling obscenities towards police and my personal life. She yelled statements such as, ‘I hope you and your wife can never have any children because you’re a stupid f**king cop.'”

When Officer Walker and Acker arrived at the hospital, he told Acker to sit down. When she refused, he “pushed her down into the chair.” Walker’s report claims the teen immediately kicked him “in the groin area.”

Police Officer Anthony Carey, who was called to the hospital later, wrote in his report that Walker “escorted Ms. Acker to the floor.”

Opposing Views’ coverage cites Sgt. Mary Walsh, who, though not present during the hospital incident involving alleged police brutality, claimed that Walker “rolled (Acker) out of the chair to the floor.”

On the other hand, Office Walker stated he felt “immediate pain” and “forcefully threw Ms. Acker face down on the ground,” while he held her in a pinned position.

Walker wrote the following in his report.

“It was then evident that I had caused her injury and knocked out her front tooth while throwing her on to the hard linoleum hospital floor, while her hands [were] still handcuffed behind her back.”

Officer Walker added, “After my adrenalin wore off,” he started to feel pain in his left knee, an injury he suffered by throwing Acker down, so he filed a Preliminary Accident Form and a Response to Aggression Form.

Alexis Acker’s criminal defense attorney, Cindy Hyatt, expressed her skepticism.

“There’s no way she kicked him that hard in the balls. He wouldn’t be standing. He’d be hunched over. This is a very violent attack on someone who is in handcuffs, who is partially restrained and tiny, and there’s just no need for it.”

Hyatt added more on why they accuse Officer Walker of police brutality.

“You can’t have something like this, whether it happens 100 times, 10 times, or one time. It’s unacceptable. It cannot be tolerated. As a patrol officer in particular, that’s part of the job, dealing with that without planting someone’s face in the floor.”

Civil attorney Shimon Kohn now represents Alexis Acker in her upcoming $500,000 lawsuit involving alleged police brutality.

Police Brutality Alleged: Handcuffed Teen Is Slammed Onto Floor, Knocking Her Teeth Out [Video] is an article from: The Inquisitr News

A Utah girl, 12, was found dead on Friday, and now, a 15-year-old boy has been charged with murder in connection to her death.

According to the New York Daily News, the police say the teenage boy lured 12-year-old Kailey Vijil out of her home in West Valley City, a Salt Lake City suburb, at around midnight on Friday.

The authorities were alerted to the missing child after her mother flagged down two police officers at a 7-Eleven at approximately 1:30 a.m. She had been out searching for her daughter after she noticed she wasn’t in her room. Vigil’s mother said she had never run away before, so it was very unlike her to simply disappear.

The police were able to locate Kailey’s whereabouts by “pinging” her cellphone. They canvassed an area only six blocks from Vigil’s home, and found her body in a grassy field. While she showed no signs of being stabbed or shot, there was “evidence of trauma,” and it appeared as though she was killed at the location she was found, as there was a “depression” indicating a violent murder among the shrubs, trees, and grass.

The boy, who was originally considered a person of interest in the case and has not been identified because of his age, was questioned following the discovery of Kailey’s body, and is now being charged with her murder.

“I believe a good natured child was fooled and unfortunately, made a mistake that she paid the ultimate price for,” West Valley City Police Chief Lee Russo told reporters on Friday, July 17.

Officers served a search warrant at the boy’s home, and he was later taken to the Salt Lake County Juvenile Detention Center, where he is being charged with one count of criminal homicide, according to Fox 13 Salt Lake City.

Apparently, the teenage boy was known in the community for getting into trouble. Earlier on Thursday night, he had approached another preteen girl, asking her to follow him to see his fort.

“He asked me: ‘I’ve been waiting for you to see my fort setting it up and I want you to go see my fort in the abandoned house,’ ” Mia Montano said. “I said ‘No, I’ve got to go eat my lunch.’ ”

Michelle Montano, Mia’s mother, alerted the police to her daughter’s encounter with the boy after learning about Kailey’s murder.

“That’s too close to home. That’s so scary,” she said.

According to Utah law, the 15-year-old can be charged as an adult, but a number of factors have to be determined first. If he remains in the juvenile system, he can only be detained until he is 21. If he is tried as an adult, he could face life in prison.

Two days after the Inquisitr reported about the Detroit Police launching a manhunt for armed robbers who allegedly robbed two young couples at gunpoint and subsequently gang-raped the women in front of their boyfriends, they still have not managed to locate them. According to the Statesville, the horrifying incident happened at two separate locations on Thursday — all within a span of two hours. The most shocking aspect of this crime was the fact that the robbers made the helpless boyfriends of the women to watch their girlfriends getting raped.

The attacks happened on a major street in northwest Detroit. All the couples who were attacked by the robbers were out for a walk when the incident happened. The robbers were armed with handguns and other small weapons when they approached the couples, robbed, and then sexually assaulted the women as their boyfriends watched in horror. In the first attack, a total of six men were involved while the second attack involved four men. Police have released the sketches of the men who are thought to be behind the crime, NY Daily News reports.

In an earlier report, the Inquisitr had said that the victims of the attack were all in their early 20s. Detroit Police Chief Charles Fitzgerald called the attacks “horrifying” and told media persons that the male victims of the attack were ” forced to watch the female victim get sexually assaulted. ” He added that the robbers even took their clothing away.

“The suspects then fled on foot and were seen near a blue Ford SUV,” Fitzgerald later told media persons.

According to Detroit Police, they are looking for six armed men who are still at large. All six men took turns raping the women in succession, police Sgt. Cassandra Lewis explained.

Earlier, the Chief of Police described how the incident happened.

“One of the suspects produced a gun, pointed it at both victims and advised them to go to an alley,” Fitzgerald said. “Both victims complied. They were forced to the ground. The male victim was forced to watch the female victim get sexually assaulted. Their clothing was taken.”

While the robbers fled on foot, their victims said later that the suspects were seen near a blue Ford SUV.

The latest attacks on young couples came just days after another such incident was reported from the Detroit area. On July 11, two men robbed a couple at gunpoint and later raped the woman.

Meanwhile, people from the area are terrified of the recent attacks with even the police officials asking people to avoid staying out late and in general to be cautious.

“Use your sixth sense,” he said. “If something doesn’t feel right, run to a nearby store or something.” Detroit Police Chief told citizens.

Detroit: Police Still Looking For Men Who Robbed Couples At Gunpoint, Raped Women In Front Of Their Boyfriends is an article from: The Inquisitr News

In a bizarre incident of attempted robbery, two robbers who thought it was a good idea to steal an ATM machine and dismantle it at their convenience had to abandon their plan midway. According to a Fox News report, the robbers who managed to get the ATM machine on to their van drove too fast, causing the machine to fall off their getaway vehicle. As you might have already guessed, the duo had to abandon their plans and drove off without the ATM machine.

The incident happened in Snohomish County, Washington State on Sunday, officers from the local Sheriff’s office confirmed. According to Shari Ireton, the spokesperson from the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office, the ATM machine was recovered from the parking lot of the complex from which it was being stolen. She added that the machine fell off the vehicle because the robbers, in their apparent hurry, drove the van too fast over a speed bump causing the ATM machine to fall.

Authorities later found that the van used in the robbery attempt was stolen as well. The vehicle was reported stolen from Kent. The would-be robbers later abandoned the vehicle and it was found idling by the roadside by authorities on Monday. They have impounded the vehicle as investigation to determine the identity of the thieves continue to gather pace.

The most amazing facet of this robbery attempt was the fact that it happened in broad daylight. The incident reportedly happened at around 11 a.m. local time on Sunday. It is unclear at this stage if there were any witnesses to this bizarre ATM machine robbery attempt.

This is not the first time that the Inquisitr has reported about such novel methods of ATM robbery attempts. Back in March this year, the Inquisitr had carried a story about two thieves from the UK who stole an ATM machine using a JCB excavator. These men simply drove the JCB into the bank building and then carried the ATM machine on another pickup truck. Needless to say, the duo were caught barely 24 minutes after their crime and are now standing trial for their crime.

Thieves Abandon Robbery Attempt After Stolen ATM Machine Falls Out Of Getaway Van is an article from: The Inquisitr News

The murder of Laqecia Herring (Laquecia Herring) and her brother Sterling Connor will be profiled tonight on the newest episode of Fatal Attraction on TV One.

Fatal Attraction is a weekly program that focuses on African-American crime victims. Tonight’s episode will detail the events that led to the death of Laqecia Herring, who was 21 weeks pregnant, and her brother Sterling Connor. 17-year-old Deshon R. Thomas, Herring’s on-again-off-again boyfriend and father of her unborn child, was convicted in the case, according to WCTV.

The horrific murder was discovered in January 2013 by the mother and surviving brother of Laqecia Herring, 20, and Sterling Connor, 16. The two family members had decided to pay a visit to Laqecia since she was not answering her phone. As the mother and brother entered the residence located at 1740 Corey Wood Circle in the Wolf Creek Subdivision, they saw Laqecia’s baby girl sitting in her lap. After trying to awaken Laqecia, they realized that she was dead. The victim’s brother Sterling Connor was also found under a pile of comforters on the floor of the living room in front of the television. He was also dead.

Police were dispatched to the scene. An autopsy report showed that no defensive wounds were found on the victims, and there was no disruption to the residence — indicating that the brother and sister were caught unaware. With no sign of forced entry, the killing was a mystery.

Digging through Laqecia’s background, law enforcement investigators learned that she had been involved with a boy named Deshon Thomas, a young man who was not in a position to take care of himself, let alone Laqecia and her baby. The relationship had its share of problems because Laqecia wanted to create a family life with Deshon Thomas, but Thomas made it clear that he did not want to take care of a family. The relationship became even more strained once Laqecia told Deshon that she was pregnant with his child. Deshon Thomas wanted her to have an abortion. The victim agreed but later decided to keep her baby, which angered Deshon Thomas.

It was then that he decided to kill her, prosecutors allege. A neighbor remembered seeing a very scary figure entering the residence the night before the murders and the night of the murders. Though the neighbor was unable to make out the person’s face, she did see that the person was wearing a hoodie and acting in a strange manner, giving her the immediate feeling that something was deadly wrong.

Deshon Thomas denied knowing anything about the murder, claiming that he was home smoking marijuana and drinking on the night of the murders. His roommate eventually confessed to driving Deshon to the home and driving him to another location to get rid of the weapon. Once he was arrested, Deshon Rashad Thomas tried to hire a gang member to kill his roommate. In 2013, a jury found him guilty or murder and sentenced him to life in prison.

Deshon Thomas as he appears today. He is serving out his life sentence in a Florida correctional facility.

Deshon Thomas’ family believes that he is innocent of the murder of Laqecia. He also suggests that the two never really had a solid relationship and says Laqecia was involved with another man at the time of the murder.
